And the best part?

Many of them are pretty easy to learn and master!

Now, you're going to learn some moves that will impress your friends.

In this blog, we're going to focus on the shuffle. This

This raver dance move has been around since the 80s. It's fun to watch and a lot of fun to dance to.

Today, you'll learn the shuffle essentials: T-step, kicking, spinning and the running man. Once you master these, you're on your way to being a raver dance pro and add light up shoes to the attire.

T-Step

The T-step is one of the most basic shuffle moves there is. It's simple and easy to learn, and it will help you master more complicated steps.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Place your feet so that your right foot is behind your left. Make sure your heels touching. Angle your right foot so your right toes point away from your left foot. Your feet should make a T shape.
  2. Pick up your right foot and tap it on the ground.
  3. As your right foot taps the ground and lifts up again, shuffle with your left foot. Move the toes of your left foot towards your body and then away.

That's how you shuffle!

Check out YouTube for cool videos on how to shuffle.

Kicking

Kicking is pretty easy.

While you shuffle, just lift your foot up and kick it in time to the music.

You'll need to pay attention to your body, cause it's easy to lose your balance and tumble over. Take it slow at first to get used to how you need to move to keep your balance.

Try it out a few times, and you'll get the hang of it pretty fast.

Spinning

Spinning is also fairly simple. While you shuffle, instead of rotating your feet a little, rotate them a lot. Just exaggerate the movement.

If you turn your foot 90 degrees, you'll do a quarter turn to face your side. If you turn your foot 180 degrees, you'll do a half turn to face the opposite direction. Rotating your foot 360 degrees is a full turn, and it will get you back to where you started.

Spinning is fun, and it will come pretty easy with a little practice.

The Running Man

The running man is one of the more impressive, yet simple to learn raver dance moves. It is one of the basics of shuffling that you learn first.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Start with your left foot planted on the ground, and your left foot about twelve inches in front of your right foot. Your right toes should be touching the ground, but not your heels.
  2. Lift up your right foot up about 6 inches in the air, knee bent.
  3. Drag your left foot all the way, backward to your right foot.
  4. Put your right foot on the ground and lift your left foot the way you did with your right in step 2. Drag your right foot backward like you did with your left in step 3.
  5. Repeat as many times as you can to master the technique.
