With EDC grabbing all of the headlines, anyone left without a ticket is probably experiencing a ton of FOMO. Maybe the tickets were too expensive or Vegas is too far. Fear not, however, as EDM calls many places home and there’s sure to be a spot near you where you can see your favorite artists perform. If you live in the Midwest, one of those places might be the Electric Forest Festival, held yearly in Rothbury, Michigan. Held over two weekends, the Electric Forest Festival brings together fans of electronic dance music and several other genres for eight days of music and fun in the forest. Here are the four artists you can’t afford to miss at this year’s installment of the Electric Forest Festival.

Bassnectar

The seasoned veteran has a track record of success as one of the premiere acts in the electronic dance world. The native Californian will be performing both weekends in Rothbury, ensuring that his loyal legion of Bassheads will be satisfied no matter when they show up to the forest.

Flume

Performing during the second weekend, Flume will bring his pioneering brand of future bass to an adoring Rothbury, Michigan crowd. Still only 25 years old, the Australian DJ and beatmaker will be looking to build on his Grammy win the whole summer. Make sure to catch his set at Electric Forest.

Odesza

The production duo from Washington state is slated for a performance the first weekend of the Electric Forest Festival and we couldn’t be more excited. Their newest project “A Moment Apart” is slated for a September release so maybe concertgoers will have the opportunity to hear some exclusives just a couple months away from its release. One can hope, right?

Dillon Francis

One of the early pioneers of the moombahton movement tha exploded in 2010, Dillon Francis has quickly become one of the biggest artists in all of dance music. Proclaiming that he’ll be going back to his roots after years working alongside artists like Skrillex and Calvin Harris, the Electric Forest Festival can expect some tropical rhythms to have the Midwest scorching hot.
